RULES FOR ALL CONVENTION EVENTS

• Participants must be registered by the Registration deadline to qualify for participation at the convention. YOU WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN EVENTS YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR!
• TEAM FORMS for team events MUST be filled out and brought to the event room. Forms are provided in the Convention Welcome Packet. Extra copies will be available at the Registration Desk during the convention. Team forms for the Bulletin Boards, Scrapbooks, & Worship Banners will be available at the event room.
• Registration corrections must be postmarked, by Friday, February 11, 2008 or completed online by Friday, February 18, 2008
• Unless specifically stated in the particular event rules, there are three grade categories:

  Grades 3 - 5, Grades 6 - 8, Grades 9 - 12

• A participant may move up to an older category, but an older participant may not move down to a younger category. If any team member is in the older category the team must participate at the older level.

  **PLEASE NOTE THAT MOVING PARTICIPANTS TO DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS CAN RESULT IN SCHEDULE CONFLICTS. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CHURCH COORDINATOR TO CONVEY THIS INFORMATION TO THE PARTICIPANTS. "EXCEPTIONS" WILL NOT BE MADE TO ACCOMMODATE SCHEDULE CONFLICTS.

• A participant will be in only one event during a given time period. No allowance can be made for anyone breaking this rule.
• Each congregation MUST furnish judges for every event (except signing), in which they have participants entered (see the "CONVENTION JUDGING" sections of the manual for details).
• Proper attire is expected AT ALL TIMES during the convention. All dress must be clean and modest. No extreme fads. Clothing with advertising words or pictures must be of a wholesome nature. SHORTS, BARE MIDRIFFS OR THIN STRAPPED TOPS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
