Scholarships

To offer scholarships to selected high school juniors and seniors based on participation in LTC, excellence in academics, leadership, and service to the school, church, and community.

Each eligible and interested participant will fully complete a scholarship application, two references from local church leaders, and college preferences, and send it to the Scholarship Director TO BE RECEIVED BY MARCH 12, 2008. Participants may be asked to send proof of grade point average and SAT or ACT scores at a later date.

The Scholarship Director will:

• Write to the Christian schools to obtain scholarship awards for the convention. Serve as liaison between LTC-SW and the schools.
  
  
• Attend designated meetings of the LTC-SW Board to report on the status of the scholarships and to make recommendations.
  
  
• Receive and review all applications.
  
  
• Send information regarding scholarship recipients to the respective colleges.
  
  
• Select scholarship award winners, with assistance, as applicable from appropriate LTC-SW Board members and the participating schools.
  
  

Scholarships for Seniors are restricted to Seniors who have applied and been accepted by the University.

Note: Most leadership scholarships from Christian colleges are not combined with other leadership scholarships. They are, however, usually used in combination with other types of scholarship programs (such as academic scholarship programs). If you receive an LTC-SW scholarship, consult the college from which the scholarship is provided for details of specific scholarship programs.

You may apply online by going to www.ltcsw.org and going to the scholarship application section. Online applications (and the two references) must be submitted by MARCH 12, 2008.
